Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skills and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, defense and release methods in preparation for challenging rescues involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a timed swim. Completion also certifies swimmers with CPR-A.
Prerequisites: Ability to swim, 13 years of age or completion of Bronze Star.This course is temporarily not being offered.
